Lakgala mountain

Situated in the Knuckles Mountains, about 175 km from Colombo, this majestic rock is an amazing peak on the island, perhaps even in the whole world.

Lakgala (Rock / Rock) in Sri Lanka can be reached through the quiet, secluded village of Meemure. It is definitely the hardest climb you can see in Sri Lanka. Depending on the route you choose, you will need ropes and / or climbing kits to reach the top of the hill past the bush at the foot of the mountain. Therefore, it is not a suitable destination for those who do not like heights and difficulties; However, at least you have to say that you have done something like that in your life or that the effort and risk involved is definitely worth it.
