A decision to remove Google accounts that have not been used for more than two years
Google says it will remove accounts that have been inactive for more than two years.
Google has decided to delete accounts that have been inactive for at least two years by the end of 2023, they say.
It is reported that this step has been taken as a measure to prevent cyber security threats including preventing unauthorized access to accounts.
The company further states that with the removal of these accounts, all Google Workspace content including Gmail, Docs, Drive, Meet and Calendar as well as YouTube will be removed.
