Pahanthudawa Waterfall

The name Pahanthuda is derived from the Sinhala word for lamp, “pahana”. Pahanthuda is the lamp and the shape of the base of the pond similar to the shape of a clay lamp and this fall is named for the lamp waterfall. Pahanthuda Falls is about 5 m (15 ft) above Belihuloya and 1.5 km (0.93 miles).
